TL;DR
This paper reviews the measurements of the tau lepton mass and R values between 2 and 5 GeV at BES, discussing their implications for the Standard Model and future prospects at BESIII.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of tau mass and R value measurements at BES and discusses future improvements at BESIII.
Findings
Updated tau mass and R value measurements
Implications for Standard Model tests
Future prospects at BESIII
Abstract
A comprehensive review of the measurements of lepton mass and values in the energy region between GeV, achieved at the BES experiment, is presented. In addition to the evaluation of their impact on the test of Standard Model, we also highlighted the present status and the most recent developments. In particular, we made an extensive discussion on the prospects for future improvements at the BESIII experiment.
