On heat transfer in a thermally perturbed harmonic chain
Anton M. Krivtsov

TL;DR
This paper analyzes unsteady heat transfer in a harmonic chain under different thermal perturbations, deriving closed-form equations and solutions to describe heat propagation.
Contribution
It introduces analytical equations for heat transfer in a harmonic chain subjected to initial and external thermal perturbations, advancing understanding of unsteady heat dynamics.
Findings
Derived closed-form equations for heat propagation.
Obtained analytical solutions for different thermal perturbations.
Enhanced theoretical understanding of heat transfer in harmonic chains.
Abstract
Unsteady heat transfer in a harmonic chain is analyzed. Two types of thermal perturbations are considered: 1) initial instant temperature perturbation, 2) external heat supply. Closed equations describing the heat propagation are obtained and their analytical solution is constructed.
