TL;DR
This paper introduces a new method to accurately incorporate top-quark mass effects in gluon fusion processes, improving predictions for Higgs and other boson pair productions by reconstructing full mass dependence from expansions and threshold behavior.
Contribution
It presents a novel approach using Padé approximants to reconstruct full top-quark mass dependence from large-m_t expansion and threshold behavior in gluon fusion amplitudes.
Findings
Method accurately reproduces full top-mass dependence.
Comparison shows excellent agreement with recent NLO results.
Enhances precision in Higgs pair production predictions.
Abstract
We propose a novel method for the treatment of top-quark mass effects in the production of , , and final states in gluon fusion. We show that it is possible to reconstruct the full top-quark mass dependence of the virtual amplitudes from the corresponding large- expansion and the non-analytic part of the amplitude near the top-quark threshold with a Pad\'e ansatz. The reliability of our method is clearly demonstrated by a comparison with the recent NLO result for Higgs pair production with full top-quark mass dependence.
