TL;DR
This paper performs a global analysis of unpolarized quark transverse momentum dependent distributions and fragmentation functions using data from semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering, Drell-Yan, and Z boson production, incorporating energy scale evolution at next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy.
Contribution
It is the first comprehensive global fit of TMD distributions combining multiple processes with energy evolution effects at NLL accuracy.
Findings
Successful extraction of TMD distributions from diverse data sets.
Demonstration of the importance of energy scale evolution in TMD fits.
Foundation for future precise TMD studies in high-energy physics.
Abstract
We present a first attempt at a global fit of unpolarized quark transverse momentum dependent distribution and fragmentation functions from available data on semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering, Drell-Yan and boson production processes. This analysis is performed in the low transverse momentum region, at leading order in perturbative QCD and with the inclusion of energy scale evolution effects at the next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy.
