TL;DR
This paper reports a measurement of the $ au$ lepton polarization and the ratio $R(D^*)$ in $ar{B} ightarrow D^* au^- ar{ u}_ au$ decays using Belle data, providing results consistent with Standard Model predictions.
Contribution
First measurement of $ au$ polarization and $R(D^*)$ in this decay mode using hadronic $ au$ decays at Belle.
Findings
Measured $P_ au(D^*) = -0.38 \, ext{with uncertainties}$
Measured $R(D^*) = 0.270 \, ext{with uncertainties}$
Excluded $P_ au(D^*) > +0.5$ at 90\% CL.
Abstract
With the full data sample of pairs recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB electron-positron collider, the decay is studied with the hadronic decays and . The polarization in two-body hadronic decays is measured, as well as the ratio of the branching fractions , where denotes an electron or a muon. Our results, and , are consistent with the theoretical predictions of the Standard Model. The polarization values of…
