Bhubanjyoti Bhattacharya, Alexey A Petrov

TL;DR
This paper explores how flavor SU(3)_F symmetry can relate CP asymmetries and decay rates in B_c meson decays, providing insights into CP violation and CKM matrix parameters.
Contribution
It derives relations between CP asymmetries and branching ratios of B_c decays using flavor SU(3)_F symmetry, aiding in constraining the CKM angle gamma.
Findings
Relation between CP asymmetries in B_c decays and branching ratios.
Relations between non-leptonic B_c decay amplitudes with D mesons.
Potential to constrain CKM angle gamma through combined decay analysis.
Abstract
We study implications of a recent observation of non-leptonic decay and a bound on transition on CP-violating asymmetries in decays. In the U-spin symmetry limit, we derive a relation between the CP-asymmetries in the and channels and the corresponding branching ratios. We also derive several relations between non-leptonic decays into the final states with mesons in the flavor limit. We point out that a combined study of amplitudes in these decays can be used to constrain the angle of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix.
