TL;DR
This paper investigates the kinematic correlations of beauty hadron pairs produced in high energy proton-proton collisions at the LHCb experiment, providing experimental data that aligns well with theoretical models.
Contribution
It presents the first detailed measurement of $b\bar{b}$ correlations in high energy proton-proton collisions at 7 and 8 TeV, using inclusive $b\rightarrow J/\psi X$ decays.
Findings
Observed correlations agree with theoretical predictions
Provides new experimental data on $b\bar{b}$ production
Enhances understanding of heavy flavor production mechanisms
Abstract
Kinematic correlations for pairs of beauty hadrons, produced in high energy proton-proton collisions, are studied. The data sample used was collected with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb. The measurement is performed using inclusive decays in the rapidity range . The observed correlations are in good agreement with theoretical predictions.
