Rico Z\"ollner, Burkhard K\"ampfer

TL;DR
This paper explores holographic vector mesons within a gravity-dilaton background, deriving a Schrödinger potential that reproduces the rho meson Regge trajectory and reveals a thermodynamic phase transition.
Contribution
It introduces a method to determine the dilaton background from a Schrödinger potential that accurately models vector meson spectra and phase structure.
Findings
Reproduces rho meson Regge trajectory
Derives a dilaton potential from spectral data
Identifies a first-order thermodynamic phase transition
Abstract
Within a holographic framework, we consider vector mesons riding on a gravity-dilaton background. The latter one is determined directly from a Schr\"odinger equivalent potential which delivers a proper meson Regge trajectory. The mapping on the dilaton potential yields a thermodynamic phase structure with a first-order transition.
