Adolfo Cisterna, Julio Oliva

TL;DR
This paper introduces new exact solutions in general relativity that describe black strings and p-branes supported by scalar fields in various dimensions, expanding the understanding of higher-dimensional black objects.
Contribution
It provides the first analytic solutions for black strings and p-branes with scalar fields in arbitrary dimensions in the context of negative cosmological constant.
Findings
Solutions describe black strings and p-branes supported by scalar fields
Applicable to arbitrary number of dimensions
Finite energy density of scalar fields
Abstract
We present a new set of analytic solutions of general relativity with a negative cosmological constant, which describe black strings and black p-branes in arbitrary number of dimensions, . The solutions are supported by minimally coupled, free scalar fields, carrying finite energy density.
