TL;DR
This paper calculates the branching ratios of specific B meson decays involving eta_c states and rho resonances using perturbative QCD, providing predictions consistent with experimental data and proposing new testable ratios.
Contribution
The study introduces a detailed PQCD calculation of quasi-two-body B decays involving eta_c and rho resonances, including new ratios for future experimental verification.
Findings
Branching ratios are in the order of 10^{-7} to 10^{-6}.
Results align with the pion form factor measurements by BABAR.
Predicted ratios R_3 and R_4 offer new tests for experiments.
Abstract
In this paper, we calculated the branching ratios of the quasi-two-body decays by employing the perturbative QCD (PQCD) approach. The contributions from the -wave resonances , and were taken into account. The two-pion distribution amplitude is parameterized by the vector current time-like form factor to study the considered decay modes. We found that (a) the PQCD predictions for the branching ratios of the considered quasi-two-body decays are in the order of , while the two-body decay rates are extracted from those for the corresponding quasi-two-body decays; (b) the whole pattern of the pion form factor-squared measured by the BABAR Collaboration could…
