TL;DR
APFEL++ is a C++ library for parton distribution function evolution, offering improved numerical methods, accurate results, and applications to semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering at NLO in QCD.
Contribution
It introduces a new C++ implementation of the PDF evolution code with innovative convolution computation methods and demonstrates its accuracy and applicability to NLO QCD processes.
Findings
Accurately reproduces previous results
Provides faster computation of convolutions
Successfully applied to semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering
Abstract
I present a preliminary version of {\tt APFEL++}, a C++ rewriting of the Fortran 77 evolution code {\tt APFEL}. In this contribution I discuss the new philosophy adopted for the numerical computation of the convolutions, demonstrate the ability to reproduce old results in an accurate and fast way, and present an original application to the computation of the semi-inclusive deep-inelastic-scattering cross section to next-to-leading order in QCD.
