Noncommutativity and relativity
B.G. Sidharth, Abhishek Das

TL;DR
This paper argues that noncommutative spacetime properties lead to the concept of relativity by restricting velocities, thus providing a foundational link between noncommutativity and relativistic physics.
Contribution
It demonstrates that noncommutativity of spacetime naturally implies relativistic velocity limits, connecting quantum geometry with classical relativity.
Findings
Noncommutative spacetime implies finite maximum velocity.
Relativity can be derived from spacetime noncommutativity.
Galilean relativity is extended to include velocity limits.
Abstract
In this paper, we endeavour to show that from the noncommutative nature of spacetime one can deduce the concept of relativity in the sense that the velocity cannot be infinite as in the case of Galilean relativity.
