Absorption and Emission Probabilities of Electrons in Electric and Magnetic Fields for FEL
I.V. Dovgan

TL;DR
This paper investigates the probabilities of absorption and emission of ultrarelativistic electrons in strong, uniform electric and magnetic fields, providing insights into their quantum behavior under such conditions.
Contribution
It derives the stimulated absorption and emission probabilities for electrons in strong, transverse non-uniform fields, extending understanding of electron-field interactions in FEL contexts.
Findings
Derived formulas for absorption and emission probabilities
Analyzed electron behavior in strong transverse fields
Provided theoretical framework for FEL applications
Abstract
We consider induced emission of ultrarelativistic electrons in strong electric (magnetic) fields that are uniform along the direction of the electron motion and are not uniform in the transverse direction. The stimulated absorption and emission probabilities are found in such system.
