Cobimaximal Neutrino Mixing from $S_3 \times Z_2$
Ernest Ma (UC Riverside & JCIAS, HKUST)

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how cobimaximal neutrino mixing can be realized using the $S_3 imes Z_2$ symmetry, offering an alternative to previous models based on $A_4$, and discusses the implications for scalar sector phenomenology.
Contribution
It introduces a new model achieving cobimaximal neutrino mixing with $S_3 imes Z_2$, replacing the $A_4$ symmetry and explores the resulting scalar sector phenomenology.
Findings
Successful realization of cobimaximal mixing with $S_3 imes Z_2$ symmetry.
Analysis of scalar sector phenomenology in the new model.
Comparison with $A_4$ based models.
Abstract
It has recently been shown that the phenomenologically successful pattern of cobimaximal neutrino mixing (, , and ) may be achieved in the context of the non-Abelian discrete symmetry . In this paper, the same goal is achieved with . The residual lepton triality in the case of is replaced here by . The associated phenomenology of the scalar sector is discussed.
