Cosmic ray production in modified gravity
Elena V. Arbuzova, Alexander D. Dolgov, Lorenzo Reverberi

TL;DR
This paper defends the authors' previous work by countering criticisms and demonstrates that $F(R)$ modified gravity theories can effectively produce high-energy cosmic rays in contracting systems.
Contribution
It clarifies the validity of particle production in $F(R)$ theories and refutes criticisms, confirming their potential for cosmic ray generation.
Findings
$F(R)$ theories enable efficient high-energy cosmic ray production.
Criticisms against particle production in these theories are invalid.
Contracting systems in modified gravity can generate cosmic rays effectively.
Abstract
This paper is a reply to the criticism of our work on particle production in modified gravity by D. Gorbunov and A. Tokareva. We show that their arguments against efficient particle production are invalid. theories can lead to an efficient generation of high energy cosmic rays in contracting systems.
