## TL;DR

This paper investigates the influence of the hard Pomeron on high-energy nucleon elastic scattering, highlighting its subdominance at current energies due to its low trajectory slope.

## Contribution

It introduces the role of the hard Pomeron in nucleon scattering and explains its subdominance through the low slope of its Regge trajectory.

## Key findings

- Hard Pomeron has a low slope, leading to subdominance at current energies.
- The study clarifies the impact of the hard Pomeron on elastic scattering.
- The subdominance is explained by the properties of its Regge trajectory.

## Abstract

The role of the hard Pomeron (HP) exchanges in the high-energy diffractive interaction of nucleons is explored. It is demonstrated that the HP subdominance at available energies and low transferred momenta is due to the extremely low slope of its Regge trajectory.
