## TL;DR

This paper investigates how radiation pressure from traveling waves influences solitons in the Coupled Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation, revealing conditions for pushing or pulling effects through analytical and numerical methods.

## Contribution

It provides new analytical and numerical insights into the interaction forces exerted on solitons by traveling waves in the CNLSE.

## Key findings

- Force can push or pull the soliton depending on parameters
- Analytical solutions are derived for special cases
- Numerical solutions illustrate general behavior

## Abstract

In the paper an interaction between a soliton and a traveling wave in the Coupled Nonlinear Schr\"odinger Equation (CNLSE) is considered. The force acting on the soliton can both push or pull the soliton depending on parameters of the equation, structure of the soliton and the incident wave. In special cases analytical results are presented and in general numerical solutions of both linearized and the full problem are shown.
