## TL;DR

This paper explores a five-dimensional cosmological model where extra-dimensional effects mimic dark energy, leading to an open universe that transitions from deceleration to acceleration over time.

## Contribution

It introduces a novel five-dimensional induced dark energy model explaining cosmic acceleration without dark energy.

## Key findings

- Extra terms from the fifth dimension act as dark energy.
- The model predicts early deceleration and late acceleration in an open universe.

## Abstract

We investigate the FLRW type cosmology of the Induced Dark Energy model and illustrate that the extra terms emerging from the fifth dimension can play the role of dark energy. The model predicts the expansion with deceleration at early time and acceleration in late time for an open universe.
