## TL;DR

This paper analyzes the flow harmonics of pions, protons, and D mesons in heavy ion collisions to understand the off-equilibrium dynamics of heavy flavor at low transverse momentum.

## Contribution

It introduces a comparative analysis of flow harmonics to quantify off-equilibrium heavy flavor dynamics in ultrarelativistic collisions.

## Key findings

- Differences between 2nd and 3rd flow harmonics reveal off-equilibrium effects.
- Analysis provides insights into heavy flavor behavior at low p_T.
- Method could improve understanding of quark-gluon plasma properties.

## Abstract

We present an analysis of the comparison between 2nd and 3rd flow harmonics of $\pi$, protons and D mesons produced in ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions. We advocate that such an analysis could turn out to be a good strategy in order to quantify the off-equilibrium dynamics of heavy flavor at lower transverse momentum $p_T$.
