## TL;DR

This paper reviews the use of constrained superfields to describe the non-linear realization of spontaneously broken supersymmetry and discusses recent advances in supergravity applications.

## Contribution

It provides a comprehensive overview of constrained superfields and highlights recent progress in their application to supergravity theories.

## Key findings

- Constrained superfields effectively describe non-linear supersymmetry.
- Recent developments improve understanding of supergravity models.
- The approach simplifies modeling of supersymmetry breaking.

## Abstract

When supersymmetry is spontaneously broken it will be generically non-linearly realized. A method to describe the non-linear realization of supersymmetry is with constrained superfields. We discuss the basic features of this description and review some recent developments in supergravity.
