Jet Measurements with Neutral and Di-jet Triggers in Central Au+Au Collisions at $\sqrt{{s}_{NN}}$ = 200 GeV with STAR
Nihar Ranjan Sahoo (for the STAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper investigates jet production and medium effects in central Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV using STAR, focusing on semi-inclusive recoil jets and di-jet correlations to understand jet quenching phenomena.
Contribution
It introduces new measurements of recoil jets with direct-photon and neutral pions, and analyzes di-jet hadron correlations to reveal medium-induced modifications.
Findings
Medium effects observed in gamma+jet vs. pi0+jet comparisons.
Recoil jets show modifications due to the medium.
Signs of jet quenching in di-jet correlations.
Abstract
We present two measurements related to jet production in p+p and central Au+Au collisions at =200 GeV. Firstly, a study of semi-inclusive charged recoil jets coincident with high- direct-photon and neutral pions, and secondly, the hadron correlations with respect to reconstructed di-jet triggers. Indication of medium effects is observed by comparing +jet and +jet measurements. The di-jet+hadron study shows signs that the medium-induced modifications of an imbalanced set of di-jets with "hard cores" primarily affect the recoil jet.
