## TL;DR

This paper explores the role of optical chirality in plasmonics, analyzing the distinctions between 2D and 3D chirality, and linking these concepts with reciprocity and time symmetry, supported by recent experimental comparisons.

## Contribution

It provides a clear theoretical framework connecting optical chirality, reciprocity, and time symmetry in plasmonics, with analysis of recent experimental findings.

## Key findings

- Distinction between 2D and 3D optical chirality
- Connection of optical chirality with reciprocity and time symmetry
- Comparison with recent nano-plasmonics experiments

## Abstract

In this text we describe the role of optical chirality in the context of plasmonics. We clearly distinguish between 2D an 3D optical chirality and connect the problem with reciprocity and time symmetry. We compare our analysis with recent experimental results in nano-plasmonics and photonics.
