Claude Bourrely, Jacques Soffer

TL;DR
This paper discusses the quantum statistical approach to parton distributions, focusing on the properties of light quarks and antiquarks, and highlights its consistency with recent experimental data and future challenges.
Contribution
It introduces specific properties of antiquarks derived from the statistical approach and verifies their consistency with experimental data, emphasizing future experimental tests.
Findings
Properties of antiquarks are consistent with recent data
The approach predicts specific relations between quarks and antiquarks
Future experiments will further test these properties
Abstract
In the quantum statistical parton distributions approach proposed more than one decade ago, one imposes relations between quarks and antiquarks expressions, which lead to very specific properties for the antiquarks. These properties have been verified up to now by recent data and it is a real challenge also for forthcoming experimental results, mainly in the high region.
