## TL;DR

This paper explores the design of a high-current linear proton accelerator capable of reaching 80 MeV energy, utilizing pulsed acceleration in a spiral wave guide and magnetic focusing with superconducting solenoids.

## Contribution

It presents a novel approach combining spiral wave guide acceleration with superconducting magnetic focusing for high-current proton beams.

## Key findings

- Feasibility of pulsed acceleration in spiral wave guides
- Magnetic focusing with superconducting solenoids effectively focuses proton beams
- Design parameters for 80 MeV proton accelerator established

## Abstract

The article considers an opportunity of pulsed acceleration of the proton beam in a spiral wave guide. The radial focus of the proton beam in the accelerator is carried out by means of the magnetic field of ten Tesla, generated by a superconducting solenoid.
