## TL;DR

This paper introduces Gaussian processes as a novel method for modeling blazar variability time series and demonstrates their application to multi-wavelength light curves of PKS 1502+106, providing new insights into blazar behavior.

## Contribution

It presents the use of Gaussian processes for blazar time series modeling, a new approach in this field.

## Key findings

- Successful application of GP modeling to blazar light curves
- Enhanced understanding of blazar variability patterns
- Potential for improved predictions of blazar activity

## Abstract

This article shortly introduces Gaussian processes (GP) as a new approach for modelling time series in the field of blazar physics. In the second part of the paper, recent results from an application of GP modelling to the multi-wavelength light curves of the blazar PKS 1502+106 are discussed.
