## TL;DR

This paper introduces a coarse-grained model of Bacillus subtilis cell wall to validate the 'three under two' principle of cell wall growth in Gram-positive bacteria through simulation.

## Contribution

It presents the first coarse-grained model explicitly accounting for multiple peptidoglycan layers to validate a new growth principle.

## Key findings

- Validation of the 'three under two' principle through simulation
- Model confirms the structural plausibility of the principle
- Provides a foundation for more detailed cell wall growth studies

## Abstract

The aim of this work is to propose a first coarse-grained model of Bacillus subtilis cell wall, handling explicitly the existence of multiple layers of peptidoglycans. In this first work, we aim at the validation of the recently proposed "three under two" principle.
