## TL;DR

This paper investigates how holographic duality can explain the late-time behavior of strongly coupled quantum gauge theories, suggesting a connection to the universe's accelerated expansion through vacuum energy.

## Contribution

It demonstrates that the Bunch-Davies vacuum acts as a late-time attractor in strongly coupled gauge theories and explores its implications for cosmological acceleration.

## Key findings

- Bunch-Davies vacuum is a late-time attractor in strongly coupled QFTs.
- Non-conformal theories exhibit non-zero entropy production.
- Potential link between strongly coupled QFT vacuum energy and cosmic acceleration.

## Abstract

We use holographic correspondence to argue that Euclidean (Bunch-Davies) vacuum is a late-time attractor of the dynamical evolution of quantum gauge theories at strong coupling. The Bunch-Davies vacuum is not an adiabatic state, if the gauge theory is non-conformal --- the comoving entropy production rate is nonzero. Using the N=2* gauge theory holography, we explore prospects of explaining current accelerated expansion of the Universe as due to the vacuum energy of a strongly coupled QFT.
