Recent results from NA48/2 and NA62 experiments at CERN
Nicolas Lurkin

TL;DR
This paper reports recent experimental results from CERN's NA48/2 and NA62 experiments, including measurements of the $ ext{pi}^0$ transition form factor, searches for lepton number violation, sterile neutrinos, inflatons, and dark photons, setting new limits and observing a non-zero form factor slope.
Contribution
The paper provides new measurements of the $ ext{pi}^0$ electromagnetic form factor and sets improved limits on rare kaon decays, sterile neutrinos, inflatons, and dark photons based on large data samples.
Findings
Measured $ ext{pi}^0$ form factor slope with 5.8$\sigma$ significance.
Set upper limit on lepton number violating decay rate at $8.6 imes 10^{-11}$.
Improved constraints on dark photon mixing parameter $oldsymbol{ ext{ extvarepsilon}}^2$.
Abstract
The NA48/2 and experiments at the CERN SPS collected a large sample of charged kaon decays in flight. was running in 2007-08 with a highly efficient minimum bias trigger for decays into electrons. A preliminary measurement of the electromagnetic transition form factor slope of the from fully reconstructed Dalitz decays is presented. The obtained value represents a observation of a non-zero slope in the time-like region of momentum transfer. An upper limit on the rate of a lepton number violating decay is reported from decays at NA48/2 in 2003-04: at CL. Searches for heavy sterile…
