TL;DR
This paper reviews magnetic field measurements in OB stars, compiles a catalog, confirms a log-normal distribution of magnetic field strengths, and investigates their formation before the Main Sequence.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive catalog of magnetic OB stars and analyzes the statistical distribution of their magnetic fields, offering insights into their origin.
Findings
Magnetic field values follow a log-normal distribution with mean log(B)=2.53
Confirmed the statistical distribution of magnetic fields in OB stars
Investigated magnetic field formation prior to the Main Sequence
Abstract
We review the measurements of magnetic fields of OB stars and compile a catalog of magnetic OB stars. Based on available data we confirm that magnetic field values are distributed according to a log--normal law with a mean log(B)=2.53 and a standard deviation . We also investigate the formation of the magnetic field of OBA stars before the Main Sequence (MS).
