Using TDHF to study quasifission dynamics
A.S. Umar, C. Simenel

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how the microscopic TDHF approach can be used to analyze quasifission dynamics, aiding in understanding the formation of superheavy elements.
Contribution
It introduces the application of TDHF to study quasifission and compute parameters relevant for compound nucleus formation.
Findings
TDHF effectively models quasifission processes
Provides ingredients for superheavy element synthesis calculations
Enhances understanding of nuclear dynamics in heavy-ion collisions
Abstract
We show that the microscopic TDHF approach provides an important tool to shed some light on the nuclear dynamics leading to the formation of superheavy elements. In particular, we discuss studying quasifission dynamics and calculating ingredients for compound nucleus formation probability calculations.
