Clustering in generalized 1D Ising models
P.D. Andriushchenko, K.V. Nefedev

TL;DR
This paper investigates clustering phenomena in generalized 1D Ising models, revealing that clustered order parameters indicate phase transitions regardless of the sign of exchange interactions, unlike magnetization.
Contribution
It introduces the clustered order parameter as a universal indicator of phase transitions in 1D Ising models with various neighbor interactions and exchange signs.
Findings
Magnetization transitions only at positive exchange integral J
Clustered order parameter detects transitions regardless of J sign
Transition behavior depends on the type of order parameter used
Abstract
The research of one-dimensional Ising model with the different number of neighbors and the different sign of the exchange integral were performed. Magnetization shows the transition from disorder to order (in finite systems) only at positive exchange integral but clustered order parameter describes the transition regardless of the sign of the exchange integral and the number of neighbors.
