TL;DR
This paper presents comprehensive world averages of properties of $b$-hadrons, $c$-hadrons, and $ au$-leptons based on data available up to summer 2016, including lifetimes, mixing, and decay parameters.
Contribution
It provides the first unified set of averaged measurements for heavy flavor particles, incorporating correlated uncertainties and standardized input parameters.
Findings
Updated world averages for heavy flavor properties
Consistent set of measurements with adjusted input parameters
Enhanced precision in CKM matrix elements
Abstract
This article reports world averages of measurements of -hadron, -hadron, and -lepton properties obtained by the Heavy Flavor Averaging Group using results available through summer 2016. For the averaging, common input parameters used in the various analyses are adjusted (rescaled) to common values, and known correlations are taken into account. The averages include branching fractions, lifetimes, neutral meson mixing parameters, \CP~violation parameters, parameters of semileptonic decays and CKM matrix elements.
