Geons and the Quantum Information Metric
Musema Sinamuli, Robert B. Mann

TL;DR
This paper explores the duality between quantum information metrics in conformal field theories and the volume of maximal slices in anti-de Sitter spaces, focusing on topological geons and their relation to bulk spacetime topology.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the duality relation holds for topological geons with a modified factor, showing the information metric as a tool to probe bulk spacetime topology.
Findings
The duality relation for geons differs by a factor of 4.
The information metric can probe the topology of the bulk spacetime.
The relation holds for both BTZ black holes and Schwarzschild-AdS black holes.
Abstract
We investigate the proposed duality between a quantum information metric in a and the volume of a maximum time slice in the dual for topological geons. Examining the specific cases of BTZ black holes and planar Schwarzschild-AdS black holes, along with their geon counterparts, we find that the proposed duality relation for geons is the same apart from a factor of 4. The information metric therefore provides a probe of the topology of the bulk spacetime.
