On some extreme cohesive properties of alpha-Plutonium: temperature dependence of elastic moduli, large pressure derivative of bulk modulus and Gr\=uneisen parameter
S. K. Sikka

TL;DR
This paper investigates the temperature dependence of elastic moduli, pressure derivatives, and Gruneisen parameters in alpha-Plutonium to better understand its cohesive properties.
Contribution
It offers new insights into the anomalous cohesive properties of alpha-Pu, focusing on temperature effects and pressure derivatives.
Findings
Temperature variation of elastic moduli analyzed
Large pressure derivative of bulk modulus discussed
Anomalous Gruneisen parameter values examined
Abstract
The basic observed cohesive properties of alpha-Pu like temperature variation of elastic moduli, large value of the pressure derivative of the bulk modulus and anomalous values of the Gruneisen parameter in literature are not yet completely understood. In this communication, we provide new insights into these.
