TL;DR
This paper proposes a scheme using quadrupole lenses for a relativistic strophotron free electron laser, analyzing electron trajectories and demonstrating stability in both transverse directions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel quadrupole lens scheme for relativistic strophotron FELs and analyzes electron motion stability.
Findings
Electron trajectories are stable in both transverse directions.
Equations of motion are successfully solved for the proposed scheme.
The scheme offers a stable configuration for relativistic strophotron FELs.
Abstract
The scheme with quadrupole lenses is presented for realization relativistic strophotron type Free electron laser. Equations of motion are solved and trajectories are found. It is shown, that movement of electrons in presented scheme is stable in both transverse directions.
