Double quarkonium production at high Feynman-$x$
Sergey Koshkarev, Stefan Groote

TL;DR
This paper estimates proton-proton cross sections for double quarkonium production at high Feynman-x using the intrinsic heavy flavor mechanism, relevant for the AFTER@LHC experiment at 115 GeV.
Contribution
It provides the first estimates of double quarkonium production cross sections at high Feynman-x based on the intrinsic heavy flavor mechanism.
Findings
Cross section estimates for various quarkonium pairs at 115 GeV.
Identification of the intrinsic heavy flavor mechanism as dominant at high x_F.
Potential observability of double quarkonium production outside single and double parton scattering regimes.
Abstract
In this paper we give estimates for the proton--proton cross sections into pairs of quarkonium states , , and at the scheduled AFTER@LHC energy of GeV. The estimates are based on the intrinsic heavy flavor mechanism which is observable for high values of , a range outside the dominance of single parton and double parton scattering.
