Robert Billet, Livio Liechti

TL;DR
This paper presents an algorithm to compute Teichmüller polynomials for fibered alternating links related to trees and demonstrates their ability to distinguish mutant pairs of such links.
Contribution
The authors introduce a new algorithm for calculating Teichmüller polynomials for a specific class of fibered alternating links and show their effectiveness in distinguishing mutant pairs.
Findings
Algorithm successfully computes Teichmüller polynomials for the class of links.
Teichmüller polynomial distinguishes certain mutant pairs of links.
Provides new tools for studying fibered alternating links.
Abstract
We give an algorithm for computing the Teichm\"uller polynomial for a certain class of fibered alternating links associated to trees. Furthermore, we exhibit a mutant pair of such links distinguished by the Teichm\"uller polynomial.
