Couplings of NN(n\pi) n \geq 1
Bing An Li (Univ. of Kentucky)

TL;DR
This paper predicts the couplings of nucleon-pion systems using a quark model and chiral meson theory, confirming known values and providing new insights into multi-pion couplings.
Contribution
It introduces a combined quark and chiral field theoretical approach to predict nucleon-pion couplings, including multi-pion interactions, aligning with known data and explaining pion as a Goldstone boson.
Findings
Predicted N N π coupling matches current experimental values.
Established that N N 2π coupling arises naturally from pion's Goldstone boson nature.
Provided predictions for N N (n π) couplings for n ≥ 2.
Abstract
Determinations of the couplings of are reported. The study is based on both a quark model of nucleon and a chiral field theory of mesons. The coupling of is predicted and is in agreement with current value. It shows that the coupling is resulted in the nature that pion is a Goldstone boson. The couplings of are predicted by this approach.
