Enrique Ruiz Arriola, Lorenzo Luis Salcedo, Eugenio Megias

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how quark-hadron duality enables the extraction of heavy quark and string breaking dynamics from Polyakov loop correlators in finite-temperature QCD below the phase transition.
Contribution
It introduces a method to analyze coupled channel dynamics of heavy quarks using Polyakov loop correlators based on quark-hadron duality.
Findings
Heavy quark and string breaking dynamics can be inferred from Polyakov loop correlators.
Quark-hadron duality provides a useful framework for finite-temperature QCD analysis.
The approach offers insights into color singlet states below the phase transition.
Abstract
QCD at finite temperature below the phase transition should be determined in terms of colour singlet states such as hadrons and strings. We show how quark-hadron duality allows extracting sensible information concerning heavy quark and string breaking coupled channel dynamics from Polyakov loop correlators.
