TL;DR
This paper investigates the mass anomalous dimension of SU(2) gauge theory with 6 and 8 flavors near an infrared fixed point, using spectral density and step scaling methods with improved Wilson fermions.
Contribution
It introduces a combined spectral density and step scaling approach to evaluate the mass anomalous dimension in SU(2) theories with multiple flavors.
Findings
Determined the coupling dependence of the mass anomalous dimension.
Provided evidence for the conformal behavior at the fixed point.
Enhanced the accuracy of anomalous dimension measurements.
Abstract
SU(2) with N_f = 6 and N_f = 8 are believed to have an infrared conformal fixed point. We use the spectral density method cross referenced with the mass step scaling method to evaluate the coupling constant dependence of the mass anomalous dimension for massless HEX smeared, clover improved Wilson fermions with Schr\"odinger functional boundary conditions.
