TL;DR
This paper extends the concept of overlap functions to interval-valued settings and introduces a method for constructing interval-valued OWA operators with interval weights, analyzing their key properties.
Contribution
It proposes a novel extension of overlap functions to interval-valued contexts and develops a new method for creating interval-valued OWA operators with analyzed properties.
Findings
Interval-valued overlap functions are characterized and analyzed.
A new construction method for interval-valued OWA operators is proposed.
Key properties like homogeneity and migrativity are examined.
Abstract
In this work we extend to the interval-valued setting the notion of an overlap functions and we discuss a method which makes use of interval-valued overlap functions for constructing OWA operators with interval-valued weights. . Some properties of interval-valued overlap functions and the derived interval-valued OWA operators are analysed. We specially focus on the homogeneity and migrativity properties.
