Exact State Revival in a Spin Chain with Next-To-Nearest Neighbour Interactions
Matthias Christandl, Luc Vinet, Alexei Zhedanov

TL;DR
This paper extends the XX spin chain model to include next-to-nearest neighbour interactions, deriving exact conditions for perfect state transfer and entanglement generation, advancing understanding of quantum information transfer in complex spin systems.
Contribution
It provides the first exact analysis of PST and fractional revival conditions in a spin chain with next-to-nearest neighbour interactions.
Findings
Exact conditions for perfect state transfer derived.
Conditions for entanglement generation (fractional revival) obtained.
Extension of spin chain models to more complex interactions.
Abstract
An extension with next-to-nearest neighbour interactions of the simplest XX spin chain with perfect state transfer (PST) is presented. The conditions for PST and entanglement generation (balanced fractional revival) can be obtained exactly and are discussed.
