Theoretical results for top-quark cross sections and distributions
Nikolaos Kidonakis

TL;DR
This paper provides advanced theoretical predictions for top-quark production cross sections and distributions, incorporating soft-gluon corrections up to approximate N$^3$LO and NNLO, and compares these with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces new approximate higher-order calculations for top-quark production, including soft-gluon corrections and discusses the cusp anomalous dimension at higher loops.
Findings
Predictions match well with LHC and Tevatron data.
Enhanced accuracy in top-quark transverse-momentum and rapidity distributions.
Updated theoretical understanding of the cusp anomalous dimension.
Abstract
I present new results and updates for total cross sections and differential distributions in top-antitop pair and single-top production. Soft-gluon corrections are added to exact fixed-order results to provide the best predictions at approximate NLO for production and approximate NNLO for single-top production. Total cross sections and top-quark transverse-momentum and rapidity distributions are presented and compared with data at LHC and Tevatron energies. The cusp anomalous dimension at three and higher loops is also discussed.
