Shoaib Ahmad, B. Ahmad, A. Qayyum, M. N. Akhtar

TL;DR
This paper presents an ExB velocity filter designed for detecting and analyzing large carbon clusters up to Cm with m=10,000, highlighting its variable resolving power as a key advantage.
Contribution
Introduction of a compact ExB velocity filter with adjustable resolving power for large carbon cluster diagnostics.
Findings
Effective detection of large carbon clusters up to Cm (m=10,000).
Variable resolving power enhances analysis flexibility.
Comparison of velocity and momentum analyses demonstrates the filter's capabilities.
Abstract
An ExB velocity filter is described that has been used for the detection and diagnostics of large carbon clusters Cm (where m is up to ten thousand). The velocity and momentum analyses are compared for our special experimental arrangement. We describe the variability of the resolving power of our compact velocity filter as the main advantage over other comparable mass analysis techniques.
