One-loop supergravity on $\mathrm{AdS}_4\times S^7/\mathbb{Z}_k$ and comparison with ABJM theory
James T. Liu, Wenli Zhao

TL;DR
This paper compares one-loop supergravity calculations with ABJM theory results on AdS4×S7/Zk, revealing discrepancies at sub-leading order that suggest limitations of the supergravity approximation.
Contribution
It extends the holographic comparison between ABJM theory and supergravity to one-loop order, highlighting where the approximation breaks down.
Findings
Tree-level supergravity matches leading ABJM behavior
One-loop supergravity results do not match ABJM at sub-leading order
Indicates breakdown of low-energy supergravity approximation at one-loop
Abstract
The large- limit of ABJM theory is holographically dual to M-theory on AdS. The 3-sphere partition function has been obtained via localization, and its leading behavior is exactly reproduced in the dual theory by tree-level supergravity. We extend this comparison to the sub-leading order by computing the one-loop supergravity free energy as a function of and comparing it with the ABJM result. Curiously, we find that the expressions do not match, with , while . This suggests that the low-energy approximation breaks down at one-loop order.
