Peter Knabner, Gerhard Summ

TL;DR
This paper investigates the mixed formulation of Darcy-Forchheimer flow in porous media, establishing existence and uniqueness results for stationary solutions and existence for transient solutions, advancing mathematical understanding of such flows.
Contribution
It provides the first rigorous proof of existence and uniqueness for the mixed formulation of Darcy-Forchheimer flow in porous media.
Findings
Existence and uniqueness of stationary solutions.
Existence of transient solutions.
Mathematical framework for Darcy-Forchheimer flow.
Abstract
We consider the mixed formulation of the equations governing Darcy-Forchheimer flow in porous media. We prove existence and uniqueness of a solution for the stationary problem and the existence of a solution for the transient problem.
