Neutrino masses in the $SU(4)_L \otimes U(1)_X$ electroweak extension of the standard model
Guillermo Palacio

TL;DR
This paper investigates how neutrino masses can be generated within an $SU(4)_L imes U(1)_X$ extension of the standard model using dimension five operators, exploring tree-level realizations and phenomenological implications.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to neutrino mass generation in the $SU(4)_L imes U(1)_X$ model via effective operators and analyzes the resulting phenomenology with extended particle content.
Findings
Existence of two tree-level topologies for neutrino mass operators.
Extension of the model with fermion singlet and scalar decuplet to explore phenomenology.
Partial constraints on the model's parameter space.
Abstract
We study the neutrino mass generation in the electroweak extension of the standard model by considering non-renormalizable dimension five effective operators. It is shown that there exist two topologies for the realizations of such an operator at the tree-level and for one of the three-family models is explore the neutrino phenomenology after extending its particle content with an fermion singlet and a scalar decuplet. Constraints in the available parameters space of the model are partially discussed.
