Baryons in the unquenched quark model
R. Bijker, S. Diaz-Gomez, M.A. Lopez-Ruiz, E. Santopinto

TL;DR
This paper introduces an unquenched quark model incorporating sea quark effects to better understand baryon properties, focusing on spin, flavor content, magnetic moments, and beta decays of octet baryons.
Contribution
It extends the constituent quark model by including sea quark effects through a $^{3}P_{0}$ pair-creation mechanism, providing a more comprehensive description of baryon properties.
Findings
Enhanced understanding of proton spin and flavor structure
Improved predictions of magnetic moments of octet baryons
Better modeling of beta decay processes in baryons
Abstract
In this contribution, we present the unquenched quark model as an extension of the constituent quark model that includes the effects of sea quarks via a quark-antiquark pair-creation mechanism. Particular attention is paid to the spin and flavor content of the proton, magnetic moments and decays of octet baryons.
