Ground state energy density of the quantum harmonic oscillator
Firmin J. Oliveira

TL;DR
This paper derives the ground state energy density of the quantum harmonic oscillator and estimates the universe's vacuum energy density, introducing a cutoff frequency for the oscillator's upper bound.
Contribution
It provides a novel derivation of the vacuum energy density and introduces a cutoff frequency for the quantum harmonic oscillator's energy spectrum.
Findings
Derived the total energy of the ground state with minimal assumptions
Estimated the universe's vacuum energy density
Proposed a cutoff frequency for the oscillator's upper bound
Abstract
The total energy of the ground state of the quantum harmonic oscillator is obtained with minimal assumptions. The vacuum energy density of the universe is derived and a cutoff frequency is obtained for the upper bound of the quantum harmonic oscillator.
