Ideas for best teaching integrals: we're teaching wrongly and how to do it right
Bruno Mendon\c{c}a Rey dos Santos

TL;DR
The paper critiques current methods of teaching indefinite integrals, highlighting notation issues, and proposes a new notation to improve understanding and reduce errors in calculus education.
Contribution
It introduces a novel notation for indefinite integrals aimed at enhancing teaching clarity and minimizing common mistakes.
Findings
Current notation causes confusion and errors in teaching integrals.
Proposed notation simplifies understanding and reduces mistakes.
Discussion encourages rethinking calculus teaching methods.
Abstract
We discuss some problems with the indefinite integral notation and the way of teaching of integrals in Calculus. Based on the discussion, and in order to avoid mistakes, we propose another notation for indefinite integrals.
